
SWEDISH
Ideal for clients who are new to massage therapy, and those seeking relaxation massage. Swedish Massage can be both relaxing and therapeutic. Swedish Techniques improve health of the body's tissues by increasing circulation of blood and lymph flow increasing immune function.
CONNECTIVE TISSUE RELEASE
Well-suited for those who suffer from chronic pain due to injury or postural deviations. Connective Tissue is also reffered to as fascia, a microscopic tissue that surrounds, supports and interweaves throughout the body. Connective Tissue Release is the use of light pressure and warmth to reduce restriction inside and around the muscle tissues.
JOINT PLAY & ACTIVE INHIBITION
These techniques improve range of motion. They are used as appropriate within a typical massage treatment.
HOT HYDROTHERAPY
Using moist heat to warm muscle tissue. Hot hydrotherapy can be included in any massage at no additional fee for up to 20 minutes. A pack is placed on a body area and allowed to warm, while another area is massaged. Once the area is warmed with the pack connective tissue, trigger point or Swedish massage may be done.
SHIATSU
Shiatsu is ideal for cancer patients, clients who have circulatory disorders, or those who prefer to remain fully clothed during a massage treatment. Shiatsu is a Japanese modality that is rooted in traditional Chinese medicine. It promotes balanced energy throughout the body.
CRANIO SACRAL THERAPY
Cranio Sacral Therapy promotes healing through the palpation of the natural cerebral rhythms. CST is a very gentle and relaxing technique that can be incorporated into any massage therapy session.
HOT STONES
Hot Stone is incredibly soothing. Basalt stones are heated in water and then added to Swedish massage techniques to heat and soothe connective and muscular tissue. Hot Stones can be added to one body area during 30 or 60 minute sessions. A full-body hot stone massage takes 90 minutes.
